Ross Aluminum Expands Machine Shop
Modern Casting (September 2008)
Ross Aluminum Castings LLC, Sidney, Ohio, announced it plans to double its machine shop square footage.
The company was acquired by the Advanced Metals Group, which owns four other metalcasting facilities, in early 2007. Since the acquisition, it reports high demand for value added machining.
The metalcasting plant plans to move its offsite machine shop to a newly renovated area in the lower level of its main casting facility. It will be adding three new CNC lathes during the transition. The move is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.
Ross maintains green and dry sand capabilities, providing aluminum castings to the fuel pump, hydraulic valve, aerospace, specialty and high performance automotive, general manufacturing and diesel truck industries.
